What I offer
As a doula I’m there to ‘mother the mother’ - to take care of you so you can take care of your baby. To help you find a peaceful space to bond and grow together. This is very flexible as everyone needs different things. I’m there to help you feel comfortable, nourished and supported when everything is new, you are still raw from the birth and you are becoming a mother. The list of things I do can never be finite but it generally includes:
Help to plan your post natal journey and prepare for the fourth trimester
Breast feeding or bottle feeding support to help you and your baby thrive
New born sleep support
Help with soothing techniques for new babies
Baby wearing help
Emotional support while you adjust to your new hormones and embrace your role as a new parent
Debriefing your birth experience if this is something you would like to do
Sole charge while you sleep, shower, rest or just have a bit of time to yourself
Practical new born care
Signposting you to appropriate health professionals or additional support if required
Cooking and meal planning so you have good food and nourishment
Light household support with laundry, changing sheets, general tidying, dish washing
Shopping and errands
Sibling adjustment support
Accompanying you to appointments if you would like me to
Head, neck and shoulder massage to ease tired muscles and relax tension
Various other bits and bobs depending on what you need on the day!
How does it work!?
It’s easy! Use the contact form to get in touch with me.
We’ll have a chat on the phone so you can tell me about what you need and then arrange a free visit or zoom call so we can explore in more depth what will help you the most and work out how much support you would like.
Finally we’ll book in appointments for me to come and start helping you thrive as you begin the wonderful journey with your new born.
My hourly rate is £30.00 and there may be a additional charge for travel depending on where you live.
